Towel Monogrammed

Is there a Jewish tradition that would lead to not having monograms on things like towels?
I am curious because I am thinking about a gift. It occurs to me that I have not seen monograms in Jewish households (or at least I can not think of any).
Not directly. However, it is considered bad luck if the first letters of the bride’s and groom’s Hebrew names spells out a negative word in Hebrew. In this day and age I don’t know of many people who even *have* monograms on towels. Having said that, if the husband-to-be’s name is Bernie and his fiancee’s name is Olive…well, you see where I’m going.
