The next thing you need to do is clean up your kitchen. Rice cookers and other small appliances are great for small kitchens.

Studio apartments have notoriously tiny kitchens. A good way to make the most of a small kitchen is with practical kitchen appliances, such as a Sanyo rice cooker. Usually, you’ll only have a two burner stove, so if you’re making rice, that leaves only one burner for cooking the rest of the meal. Your rice maker gives you back your cooktop and can be stored away after use.

Do you really need a dining table? If you’re like most of people, you probably like to eat in your easy chair. Get yourself a nice big coffee table instead of a dining table and do your entertaining in comfort.

What else can you do? No doubt your room could use a fresh coat of paint. Choose a bright, lively color in a very light tone to add a feeling of greater spaciousness to your room. Then take some time to choose posters or paintings that have a lot of depth to them, such as landscapes. In case you were wondering, that’s why so many motel rooms have landscapes hanging over the bed. They make the room seem bigger.
