What Comes To Mind When You Think Ceramic Cookie Jars?
Anytime you hear the word ceramic cookie jars, just what does it bring to mind? What about that marvelous odor of christmas cookies being baked inside the oven and everyone getting to head to the christmas cookie jars and have a great snack anytime they want? They certainly bring back some good memories of some very great times, whether you are a child or an adult.
Cookies can be a comfort food. Who could ever turn down hand made cookies and a good cool glass of milk? They’re referred to as cookie jars not just in American kitchens, but Canadian kitchens too. Most are made of ceramic or glass. In England they are known as biscuit jars or biscuit tins and have been in existence since the late 19th century and were designed very simply.
The potential sizes and shapes of contemporary cookie jars are virtually unlimited, and, as such, they could hold just as many different size and shapes of cookies. Are you aware there are totally different cookies for different holidays? You can even find cookies for the different seasons. And there are cookie jars for every special occasion, which can make it nice to get them out in order to celebrate the occasions.
This is a great method to give a gift to friends and loved ones. There are many events that could warrant a pleasant jar of cookies. If you should favor other snacks, these kinds of cookie jars can just as readily store fresh fruit, chocolate, popcorn, nuts, and brownies. The list of treats just goes on and on. How about a few logo cookies at the next business meeting? That really should bring a smile to all their faces.
Different cookie jars are a good way to present a unique gift to say thank you to anyone from the postman to a beautician. How about a task well done to your working staff? Everyone loves to be appreciated, and what better method than a good container stuffed with the most tasty cookies available? It just makes your mouth water.
A personalized gift doesn’t always have to wait for a special event. It may be simply to show your fondness and gratitude to friends and family. The cookie jars by themselves can make a good memento, and they can be used over and over again every time they make or purchase a fresh batch of cookies. It is a gift that will keep on giving as well as being remembered.
Cookie jars have been available since 1929 at the time of the Great Depression. These were made from glass with screw on lids that were made of metal. After that stoneware became widely used in the 1930′s, and a company in Ohio developed the first ceramic cookie jar. Subsequently from the late 1930′s almost all jars were composed of ceramic.
Subsequently, rather than being embossed on the front of the jar, manufacturers began employing shapes of well-known characters. These were likewise designed to resemble fruit, vegetables or even animals. You can say that cookie jars experienced a golden era of popularity, from 1940 to 1970. The older kinds are thought to be collector’s items.

The clay material also absorbs moisture – thus, a crispy crust. This stone also includes the new “Heat Core” feature, which has been be… |
