Can I send milk in my child’s stainless steel thermos?
I’ve noticed all stainless bottles say not for hot beverages or milk. I get why not to put hot in it, but why not milk? Will the metal start to smell or what? My kids love milk for lunch and I’ve gone plastic free. Any insight would be appreciated as I do not want to ruin my Kleen bottles.
Milk is transported in stainless steel tankers, so I would think it would be ok. Just make sure it is very cold before you put the milk in it.
Another thing to think of, if it has the sipping spout in the lid, I wouldn’t use it. It could build up bacteria in the parts that are hard to wash. Have your child pour milk into a cup.
