I work as a dishwasher at a restaurant, our manager is having us wear trash bags, is this legal?

They normally give us disposable aprons, but they ran out and now everyone is wearing black garbage bags with holes torn out for the arms and head, is this legal? Isn’t there some kind of unfair work practices law or something that can prevent this? Were also working with really hot water and don’t provide us with any sort of safety gloves so a lot of the employees have been getting rashes and burns, is there some sort of law to stop them from doing this?

And a few time’s we’ve run out of soap and other chemicals and just been told to use hot water only, because the temperature is what sterilizes the dishes.

I know it’s an awful job and I would quit, but right now I’m financially stuck and I have to make this job work for at least another month or two. I’d also like to make them suffer as they have made me suffer.

If you don’t like it get a new job.

There are lots of people who will gladly take your job and not complain about it.
