Has anyone ever used a Slap Chop before, or any similar kitchen device?

Do not buy any of those silly gadgets.
Especially don’t buy the ones you see on television because they are cheap rubbish made in China.
Just simple make a (one time) investment in a good chefs knife and a quality (maple or bamboo) cutting board and you will be set for years to come.
A good quality chefs knife can do (almost) anything you need to do in the kitchen.
The Chef knife will last a life time and the cutting board if maintained properly for many years.
You never see those silly gadgets in professional kitchens because those in the know, know that they are not needed and are often cheaply made junk.
Just remember the people who run tv commercials are trying to make you “think” you have a problem so that you buy their product to solve your imaginary problem.
Just get a good quality chefs knife and you will be good to go.
