School Painting

I need to find a painting school for my 11 years old daugher, for low income family?
She loved painting and she is good a it but I cant’ affor to put her in private school
I taught myself. I was told by art teachers that the Master’s often trained for years alone before finding a teacher! The natural talent comes out before the technical side is learned. Talent can be ruined when a teacher insist that a student do as HE/SHE does. This happens quite often!
Go to Michael’s Dept. store and buy cheap board canvases, cheap acrylic paints, and acrylic brushes. Pick up some greeting cards…simple things…bunny rabbits, hearts, child-like things. Put newspapers or plastic on a table somewhere, and with good lighting, let her copy these cards! She can dry her work with a hair dryer and ‘white out any ‘mistakes’ she makes.
You can find inexpensive 5X7 or 8X10 frames and hang them around her room!
You just use a coffee can of water to rinse the brushes while painting, (don’t pour paint water in household drains!) rags or paper towels and tha’t pretty much it!
Pick up a “How to Paint in Acrylics” at the library. She will love it and it will be invaluable experience.
I did this with my son and his career is in art. I still have stacks of his stuff in my attic! It graced our walls for years! Now, MY paintings are hanging around!!
