Does every saucepan have a lid?!?
My aunt has a favourite saying that “every saucepan has a lid” meaning that for every weird, eccentric, off the wall person you come across, someone else in this world would think themselves blessed to wake up next to them everyday! What do you think about this? Do you agree?
I remember in the Princess Bride when Billy Crystal’s character describes another character as “mostly” dead. Similarly, I think your aunt’s statement is “mostly” true. I’m amazed at some of the couples that get together. Meanwhile, I’m still searching! But, there are some people who seem to prefer to be cantankerous and/or independent, and I’m not sure they’ll ever be a lid to anyone.
