My kitchen has been flooded with water from waste pipe am I entitles to replacement?
My kitchen was flooded for the second time from the flats upstairs with waste/toilet water. My insurance are coming to inspect tomorrow and I believe I should be entitled to a replacement as the water has been in and over everything and taken the roof down. Does anyone have experience of this?
You should be able to claim on your insurance (check the fine print) but talk to them first about what will happen if you make a claim to future renewal premiums. Then do the maths to work out if you would be better off claiming on the insurance on the flat upstairs, which you have the right to, rather than your own insurance.
