Theres a piece of skin in front of the my bar in my tongue, should i try to get it off?

I got my tongue pierced monday, and theres a piece of skin infront of the bar, my brother and his friend got theirs done 3 weeks ago, and told me to get a tweezers and get rid of it because food gets caught behind it. and i dont know if i really should.

No. The tissue in your mouth heals pretty quickly so try to leave it alone. If you remove it, it will likely leave an open sore that is vulnerable to infection. Just continue the salt water rinses (or whatever they told you to do when you got it pierced) and it should heal up soon.
