Are those food saver green bag things they advertise on TV worth the investment?

I am a student on a tight budget and I live alone. I often have problems with food going bad before I can eat it. It is cheaper to buy stuff at costco in bulk but that is a lot. Do these bags work? Are they worth the investment since you can only use them 10x’s? Are the plastic reusable containers better? Any experiences or advice? Thanks!

I love my green bags. They keep food forever. Do not wash the food first. You do not want water in the bag. Follow the directions on the box. You can get them at Bed, Bath and Beyond too. And I use mine way more than 10 times. Who is going to count anyhow? Be sure to not overfill the bags and fold them over as in the directions.
