An Unusual Cake Recipe Using Zucchini and Chocolate
This is a tasty and strange cake recipe, that the whole family will enjoy.
A Recipe for Cake Using Chocolate and Zucchini
Ingredients Needed:
Half C. to One cupful chocolate chips
three courgettes, approx. 6 inches long, cut into thin shreds (roughly two cups)
One teaspoon cinnamon
two 0.5 Cup white flour
three eggs
1/2 cup real butter
One t. vanilla
1/2 C. sugar
One C. demerara sugar
1/2 cup healthy oil
0.5 Cup buttermilk
four T, cocoa
One teaspoon table salt
2 t. bicarbonate of soda
Method:
Whilst you are preparing the ingredients, preheat oven to 325 degrees F / 160 degrees C.
Grease a 9″ x 13″ cake tin and put to one side.
Take a mixing bowl andmix both the sugars, the oil and the butter.
Add eggs, the vanilla and the buttermilk and mix well.
Using a sieve, sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and mix well.
Combine the two mixtures
Stir in the shredded courgettes and give it a few stirs.
Pour it all into pan and dot the top with chocolate chips.
Transfer to the pre-heated oven and cook for 45 mins.
Allow it to cool a little, remove from tin and place on a rack to cool before serving.

Another advantage of cooking at home is that you will have more free time. A good many chefs would be likely to claim that going out to a nearby restaurant should be a real time saver, but if you time it, the opposite is true. You lose time getting ready, then you need to travel to the restuarant, then you need to attract the waiters attention and place your order and in the end the kitchen staff will still take time to prepare your order. Cooking at home can be changed into an enjoyable team effort, get the youngsters or your significant other to help and a veritable banquet can be on your plates in far less time.
