Keeping A Happy And Healthy Microwave Oven
The microwave has brought much pleasure to many. Its convenience and time-saving options are a modern marvel. You can do a number of things with your microwave oven. However, there are some things that you should not do. Here are some things to keep your appliance is good running condition.
Microwave ovens do like metal. It is best to keep it as far away from them as possible. You can see many examples of microwaves and metals in junk yards everywhere. Do not put any metal utensils inside the appliance. If you need to mix things in it, use a wooden spoon. This is not the place for your Kitchenaid hand mixer. Electric mixers serve many purposes. Those purposes do not include the interior of a microwave oven.
Aluminum foil serves many uses in the world. None of them are inside your appliance. Keep it away from your oven. It is metal and your oven does not like metal.
Under most circumstances, you will not place your Poulan chainsaw anywhere near your oven. Yet, many people still place electric carving knives in their microwaves. Meat and other items should be cut outside of your appliance. Never use power equipment around our oven. It may be a good idea to keep chainsaws out of the kitchen completely.
Never try to defeat the purpose of a microwave. The doors are there for a purpose. Do not remove them, unless you do not plan to reproduce in the future.
Do not insert living creatures in your oven, It will not dry them off. It will kill them.
Microwave ovens are not made for scientific experimentation. Do you want to know how long it takes an egg to blow up? Look it up online, like everyone else. While you are at it, research how long cleanup will take, also.
Be careful how you clean up messes. Maybe you did not cover a large plate of spaghetti. You may be tempted to run up to the oven with your Dyson upright vacuum cleaner attachment. Try a more conventional approach. That way, you will not be cleaning two of your nice appliances. A cleaning rag will eventually get the job done.
Microwave ovens are a modern marvel to appreciate. They will bake potatoes in just a few minutes. However, they should never be abused. Keep metal things away from your appliance. Practice common sense and do not use them for experiments. Take proper care of them. They should give you years of trouble free service. These ovens save you a great deal of time. Make sure that you do not spend that time in the emergency room.
