Focus on the countertops first just as you should in any other type of kitchen remodel. This is where most of your money will be going and should be one of the most aesthetically appealing parts of the room. Darker looks in granite and marble reflect a more modern taste while if you are into the traditional style you may prefer a white or light gray color. You could have the cupboards heightened to give yourself a bit more space between the countertops and cupboards. This gives you more room to have a lovely kitchen backsplash which can be the focal point of the room and also allows you more working space on the counters. Mirrors can work wonders in small spaces, especially in a galley kitchen setting. Besides, you won’t regret to buy some furniture to decorate your kitchen or living room which can give your home a grand look. When placed strategically they can make a room look much larger than it actually is. Mirror tiles are super cheap and easy to hang.
Be sure to check overhead in your galley kitchen and if there is a lot of extra room you could install some shelves. If there are any empty spaces you could put shelves up higher in the kitchen to add to the storage space.
