2 Fantastic Las Vegas Shopping Locations
Anyone that has heard of Las Vegas tourism will know it for the strip of road that runs through the center of the city; lined with casinos, gaming houses and endless assortments of entertainment venues to feed the senses. It is also a place where thousands people come to get married in style and in a hurry, though this buzzing metropolis is also a shoppers paradise. You don’t have to go far to find massive shopping malls filled with the latest fashions and accessories, as well as cafes, restaurants and shops selling electronic goods. There are people that actually fly into this small dessert city for a weekend shopping spree then fly out as quickly as they came. If you get tired of the hustle of the main drag, there are a number of themed malls just outside of the city that will surround you in a more relaxing environment.
If you’re flying in for a weekend and want to save your hard earned money for your shopping spree, then it’s recommended that you pre-book your hotel reservations. The large hotels on the main drag will cost you an arm and leg for just a couple of days, your best bet is to look down the streets just off from the big boulevard, these will have some of the cheap hotels Las Vegas has to offer. Many of the huge casino/hotel complexes popular with the crowds will also house a floor or two filled with shops, in some cases the hotel will design the interior to look like a medieval village or traditional European town to add a warm atmosphere to your experience.
Amongst the store fronts and boutiques, you’ll be able to choose from a vast array of products that will appeal to every individual tastes. There are boutiques selling high fashion items that have come straight off of the catwalk this season, or get yourself kitted up with the latest Nike and Reebok sports wear for your next workout back home. To give you an idea of what to expect from your next visit to sin city, here are 2 locations that offer very different types of atmosphere.
(1) Fashion Show Shopping Mall – If you’re a fan of the latest cat walk designs then you will love this huge complex, which is dedicated to the most cutting edge clothing styles. Here you’ll find the bet boutique stores, as well as high end fashion for young modern and trendy types. If you visit the Fashion show mall on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday you will get the chance to view actual fashion shows every hour, displaying the newest styles for your viewing pleasure. Each floor is separated into different genres of style, for example one level houses high end fashion shops like Saks, Dillard’s, Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. Another level is totally dedicated to younger fashion trends and has clothing by Pink, Talulah G and Zara. If you’re a man, don’t worry there is a floor dedicated to just male clothing, from suits to shorts. Once you are fed up of buying and window shopping, stop into one of the 11, 288 Sq foot food courts; they offer a variety of international foods, from sizzling steaks to sushi.
(2) MonteLago Village – The Las Vegas shopping experience doesn’t have to be made up of just large crowds and bright lights, the MonteLago village is an alternative to shopping on the main strip. The designers of this unique location have created a replica of a rustic traditional Italian village located 30 minutes from the main airport and about 17 miles from the town center. Made up of an assortment of different shops including high fashion boutiques, porcelain doll stores, antique sellers and of course it wouldn’t be complete without an authentic Italian ice cream parlor. Nested next to a quiet lake the MonteLago shopping village makes a perfect excursion from the load bleeps and blips of the casinos; aside from the great shops there are many restaurants and cafes to unwind in. If you like a bit of a drink stop in to the traditional Irish pub for a quick pint or two and get some much needed rest before heading back to the gaming tables.
