What Exactly is a Green Tea Fat Metabolizer?
What’s in a green tea fat metabolizer or burner? If you look at the ingredients in one of the “maximum strength, 100% pure” products, you will see things that you might not have expected and you probably don’t want.
The green tea metabolism boosters became popular after a study was published in 1999, saying that the tea had “thermogenic” properties and promoted fat oxidation (burning). This green tea metabolism booster retails for $50. If taken as suggested, it will last about 50 days, less than two months. If a person took it as the manufacturer suggests, he or she would get a total of 344 mg of caffeine and about 400mg of green-tea catechins. The catechins found in the other teas have never been studied for their fat-burning effects.
Citrus bioflavonoids and the vitamins are all good, as long as they are the natural form of the vitamins, something that is not listed on the package. But, you can get the green tea metabolism benefits, combined with over 70 other nutrients, in the most bio-active form, without all of the added caffeine. If you’re like most of us, you probably get enough caffeine, as it is.
The price of the multi-nutritional formulation is not much different from that of the green tea fat metabolizer, but because of all of the other nutrients, it is a much better value for your money. Of course the prices for green tea metabolism boosters vary. The less expensive ones don’t contain much of the extract at all. They are primarily caffeine.
Some researchers believe that the green tea metabolism benefits may be due to its caffeine content. But, if that is the case, then why isn’t everyone skinny? Think about how many caffeinated beverages that you drank yesterday. Look up the caffeine-content on those beverages. The Mayo Clinic provides a good list for people that want to evaluate their daily caffeine intake, because in excess amounts, the stimulant causes a variety of health problems, including insomnia, anxiety and frequent urination.
A green tea fat metabolizer should be good for your health. There are many different health benefits associated with the extract. In a multi-nutritional formulation, it will provide numerous benefits, including increased energy, improved sense of well-being, better looking hair, improved eyesight and a sharper clearer mind.
The only thing that will help you lose weight and keep it off is to burn more calories than you take in.
