How To Insert A Duvet In A Duvet Cover
Sometimes we tend to take things for granted especially when they don’t seem important. The other day I read a post about how someone was struggling with getting a freshly washed duvet cover back on the duvet. I have written a lot about modern duvet covers and all that stuff, however, it just came to me that I have never really shared about this – ever.
Let me quickly provide an easier way on how to going about doing this. Hopefully it will save you from the frustration and possible damage to your chocolate brown duvet cover that may be as a result of “violent” pulling and stretching.
Different people do this differently. I once met a woman who actually crawls inside her flannel duvet cover in order to stretch and flatten the comforter while inside. In my opinion, this is too much work – apart from the fact that you may want to scrub the floor thoroughly first to avoid messing up your freshly washed cover this is just not right.
One of the most easier ways is to just roll it up – like a carpert. Then just put it inside and unroll it. My favourite way, however, is to simply turn it inside out and line up the corner of the quilt with the inside seam of your cover. From there you just flip it right side out while still holding on to the corners.
My last recommendation is to buy and use some duvet clips. When using these, you just turn the cover inside out, line it up with duvet then put a clip at each corner at the seam. The best recommended clip to buy is one that is covered in soft foam. Now once you have the clips on to the seam and quilt you can then just flit the cover right side out.
