How long does it take for baby food to freeze in ice cube tray?
I have one ice cube tray and I put some green beans in there. I’m in a cooking mood right now and have cooked up cranberries and squash. How long before I can take out the green beans so I can freeze the other food?
I leave them overnight… It takes a while since the food is warm when I put them in the tray. I don’t think 4 hours would be enough.
If your baby is a little older and his/her portions are 3 or 4 cubes, you can just ladle the food into small ziplock bags (I use sandwich size ones), for a perfect portion size. But if your baby is just starting out and eats one cube at a time, then maybe it’ll be a good idea to buy a few more trays when you’re out. Bc like you’re doing, it’s great to get all the cooking done at once. Especially when we’re in a “cooking mood”! I used to batch cook once or twice a month for my little ones.
