How To Insert A Duvet In A Duvet Cover

Sometimes we tend to take things for granted especially when they don’t seem important. The other day I read a post about how someone was struggling with getting a freshly washed duvet cover back on the duvet. In my lifetime I have share a number of times about Calvin Klein duvet sets and others and what have you but I have never really taken the time to write a post or review ( call it whatever you like) about this.

Allow me to share with you some of the easier way you can employ when doing this. Applying these tips will save you a lot of time and also damage to your colorful duvet covers , which may be as a result of pulling and folding agressively.

I know someone who literally crawls inside her flannel duvet cover so she can be able to pull the comforter and fit it into place. That is way too much work if you ask me – for starters you have to lay the cover on the floor, which can mess it up especially and may even collect some invisible germs.

One of the most easier ways is to just roll it up – like a carpert. After you do that simply slip it into the cover and then unroll it. Alternatively you can just turn the cover inside out and then line it up perfectly before turning it right side out. While inside out just line up the quilt with the inside seam of the cover. From there you just flip it right side out while still holding on to the corners.

My last recommendation is to buy and use some duvet clips. When using these, you just turn the cover inside out, line it up with duvet then put a clip at each corner at the seam. The clip could be metal but try to find one that is covered in soft foam. After you’ve attached the clips on to the quilt and seam you can then flip the cover right side out and it will remain in place – and you will be done.
