Can I leave my iced sugar cookies on the counter overnight to set or should I stay up and put them away?
If I leave my fresh iced sugar cookies on the counter overnight to let the icing set are they going to go stale? Would it be better for me to stay up a few hours and put them in a covered container? I have two young children and am dead tired so I’d like to just leave them, but don’t want them to get stale as they are for a Christmas Eve party.
If its lard icing, you can keep them out; if it’s buttercream (store bought) put them in the fridge- but for better taste, I would definately put both in a sealed container or plastic wrap in the fridge.
