Why wont the center of my coffee cake bake completely?
i follow the recipe exactly (from scratch) and the oven easily bakes the first 2-3 inches of the cake around the edges.
is this a baking error or an oven error?
in addition, if i want to combine sugar into a recipe that already has brown sugar, should i shoot to have the same volume of the new sugar/brown sugar as i had when i was just using brown sugar?
im new to baking and really enjoy it, but i dont have the money to continue trial and error.
nor the appetite for 20-30 coffee cakes.
