What are good crafts to sell at farmers markets?
I make handmade goatmilk soaps and aprons.But what other items sell good ?
Go to as many crafts fairs and farmers markets as you can. People like clever or useful things that are not viewed as “junk”.
Handmade things are good-but must not be seen as expensive. If you are a true artist and need heavy duty compensation for your professioanl work, maybe try elsewhere other than a farmers market.
People must see it as ingeneous,unique, but not a waste of money. SOmething good for gifts for relatives like a unique non Chinese cheapo toy. Natural items that are not far reach in price. Something you can demonstrate and get people interested without pressuring them to buy anything.That is the kiss of death for a sale. Handmade unique clothing that one could afford in various colors. Something one cannot buy at a dollar store please people aren’t going to buy your version for 5$ if they can get similar stuff for a buck.
Somethings that “grab” the eye in terms of pleasan t colors and design Dont go with your own tastes You must check out the market and see what is selling and not think everyone will just like it becasue its “cute”. Aprons are regionally perhaps popular but not to the general public. Research trends by going there!Send others to go and get pix.
